Player of the Year Finalist!
Congratulations to Alex Anderson on reaching the Final of the Player of the Year Competition of the Bootle League – the matches were played today at Hightown Bowling Club. Alex
Bowls is on a roll at Northern, thanks to two top class greens, which provide superb Crown Green Bowling facilities for the club’s ten teams. The quality of the greens has been recognised by the hosting of several tournaments in the national calendar, attracting top bowlers from across the country.
The section has 8 teams playing in afternoon and evening leagues throughout Merseyside.
Afternoon friendly matches with other local clubs are arranged throughout the season.
Organised social bowling mainly takes place on Tuesday and Saturday afternoons. In-house competitions, open to all members, are held regularly throughout the season. Not everyone wants to play in competitive matches and there is usually one green available for use even when these are taking place. The greens are open everyday in the season from 11am.
Qualified instructors are available to teach beginners or help bowlers to improve their game, and bowls are available for use by anyone who wishes to give the game a try.
For further information or If you would like to hire one – or both – of our greens for a corporate or social event, please get in touch:
